  • I work business hours during the week, so I'm available nights and weekends. I'm up for playing basketball, volleyball, racquetball, swimming, floor hockey and open to others. I'm a member of the North Shore Y and open to pick up games in Essex county.

Hey Chelsea, Awesome! Do you like playing racquetball? Do you belong to the YMCA by any chance?
  • amy replied Sat, Dec 9

I am getting ready to move from Beverly to Bradford, so I'll be looking for workout buddies and racquetball partners. Also open to more sports, etc. I play bball in Beverly on Tuesday nights right now but not sure how long I'll keep that up after I move...

I would love to play racquetball! I have experience playing tennis and actually have never played racquetball before. however I would love to jump right into it! I'm pretty athletic and have a habit of picking up new sports pretty easily. I have played soccer, rugby, basketball, softball, etc and am looking to get back into a sports since now I am 24 and working full time

Awesome! You'll probably pick it up fast! It's a blast and I know the major rules. It's a great workout too. I just called to make sure the Haverhill Y has courts, which they do! I'm moving to Bradford Tuesday 12/19 so if you're interested maybe we could pick a time after that date to play. I know this is a crazy time of year, but I try to always make time for sports regardless of what's going on. My email is alclarizia@gmail.com if you think of it, shoot me an email and we can schedule something in a few weeks!

Okay awesome! Yes I am also feeling eager to start something back up again. I do not have a membership to the YMCA and I know that the brooks school in North Andover also has a racquetball club. Do I need a membership to the YMCA to play?
  • amy replied Sat, Dec 9

Oh, cool. That's good there are other options of courts around. If you don't have a membership at the Y you can play, but it costs for a day pass. HOWEVER, the north shore Y let's you fill out a free day pass form online 3 times a year.

Do you know how much it costs to play at the brooks school? We can figure out where as it gets closer, too.
